Midweek race from Navan
Our 1st Young Bird race is on wednesday 24/7/13, weather permitting.
Birds will be race marked at Harmony Lofts on Tuesday 23/7/13 between 7pm & 9pm.
We plan to pay £100 prize money, £50 £30 £20. Cost per pigeon- racers 50p each & trainers 20p each.
Open to all NIPA, EDC & Ulster Fed members.

Young Bird Racing
Open to all NIPA, ULSTER FED & EDC members.
Our 1st race will be from Navan on Wednesday 17th July. Birds will be race marked Tuesday 16th July at Harmony Lofts from 7pm. Trainers are very welcome. Cost 50p a bird, Trainers 30p a bird.
We plan to pay out £100 per race: £50, £30, £20.
So why not plan to come along for the craic!

Midweek Race Result from Navan 22/5/13
Our final Midweek Race from Navan for the Old Bird season took place today 22nd May. With an excellent turnout of racers & trainers, we had 1000+ birds on board.
Birds were liberated in Navan at 12.30 in lt NW wind for a steady fly home.
The top racing loft of Alex Crawford, Ballylesson, made it two in a row to take 1st & 3rd positions collecting a total £70.
The consistant loft of Rab Hunter collects 2nd prize of £30.
Many thanks to all fanciers who supported our Old Bird races. We look forward to our Young Bird season where we will have a number of races starting early July.

Old Bird Hot Spot Result weekend 18/5/13
Our final Old Bird Hot Spot Race for this year was the National/ Derby Weekend.
That man Jimmy Burrows, Eastway, makes it two in a row with an excellent result from Rosscarberry to win 2nd Club, 2nd Section C & 10th Open with bird ring No. GB12D11072 vel 1229 to collect another £ 50 prize. For good measure Jimmy clocked another two of our birds to take good Section & Open positions.
Our next Hot Spot Race will be at the start of the Young Bird Racing, probably 26th July where we have 8 races & pay out £ 50, £ 30 & £ 20. So if you have purchased some of our young birds get them tuned up!

With a stiff North West wind it made for a steady race. Birds were liberated at Navan Racecourse at 12.30pm. A total of 940 racers & trainers headed straight for home.The top racing loft of Alex Crawford , Ballylesson, had a super day with his birds in top form. Alex made a clean sweep to take the top positions & collect a total of £ 100. Also having had a great race at the weekend Alex was over the moon!

This week's winner is raced by the top partnership of McCartan
& Woodside, Crossgar, with a strong west wind and the E.D.C
birds making fast times. The winning bird is the Combine
Skibbereen Classic winner, Ring no. GB11D 08584 with a velocity of
2036, collecting the £50 prize. This bird takes 3rd position West
Section.
Remember our mid week racing is now in full swing. Birds race
marked on Tuesday evenings 7pm-9pm for a Kildare race on

Midweek Race From Navan
Our first Midweek Race from Navan proved to be very successful with fantastic support from many fanciers competing from a very wide area giving us a total number of 625 birds including trainers. Birds were liberated at 1pm in beautiful sunshine with a light west wind.
Annsborough made excellent time taking the top spots. Congratulations to the very consistant racing team of G. & P. Brown on clocking the top 4 pigeons in our open result, closely followed by P. Brown & Son, Annsborough who took the next two. Prize money for Navan race was £50, £30 & £20. Geraldine was on hand to collect the £100 prize.

Our Midweek Racing re-commences on Wednesday May 1st. All birds will be race-marked at Harmony Lofts on Tuesday 30th April from 6:30-9:00pm. 1st Race will be NAVAN - Wednesday May 1st. 2nd Race will be KILDARE - Wednesday May 8th. Please bring your Navan and Kildare race measurements with you on race-marking night. For the Navan race we plan to award prize money of £100, split at £50, £30 and £20. Entry for all birds will be 50p each.
